CG Motors, the sole authorised distributor for NETA, KYC EV Microbus and Kinglong models in Nepal, has inaugurated a new showroom in Pokhara. The showroom in Archalboat Chowk, Pokhara, was inaugurated by the Ambassador of China to Nepal, His Excellency Mr. Chen Song and other prominent personalities. The company has appointed Vishwakarma Auto Motors as the official dealer for EV taxis and electric micro buses in Gandaki province.
On the occasion of the inauguration, H.E. Mr. Chen Song, emphasized on the unbreakable friendship between Nepal and China and wished success to CG Motors. In the opening ceremony, CG Motors' Chief Executive Officer Mr. Hemant Agarwal along with other officials were also present.
Highlighting the advantages of EVs in the public transport sector, Ambassador Song also said that China will cooperate to study the potential of green energy in Nepal and move towards self-reliance. Similarly, he also added that charging stations will be developed in major highways and big cities in collaboration with the Nepalese government. Expressing the opinion that EV vehicles should be given the first priority in public transport, he drew the attention of the relevant agencies.
Similarly, H.E. Mr. Chen Song,handed over the first EV taxi for Pokhara, as well as the first electric micro bus. He also suggested to increase the use of electric vehicles in Pokhara city.
According to Mr. Hemant Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer of CG Motors Pvt Ltd, the residents of Gandaki province will now be able to experience and purchase the NETA V. With the successful launch of EV taxis and microbuses, 11-to-19-seater microbuses will be available for the Kathmandu Pokhara route, he further added.
The Neta V built on the Pure EV platform can cover a distance of 380 km on a full charge as per the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC). Priced at Rs 38.99 Lakh, the Neta V gets a battery pack of 38.5 kWh to deliver a power output of 70 kW and 160 Nm of torque. The Neta V has a ground clearance of 170mm. Talking about the features list, the Neta V comes loaded with HEPA N95 Grade Air Filter, Zero Button Dashboard, a 14.6-inch centre control touchscreen system, automatic headlights, and Vehicle-to-load (V2L) external discharge function, among many others.
CG Motors is offering a warranty period of 8 years/150000 km on the battery pack. The vehicle motor also gets the same warranty period, whereas, in other non-moveable exterior parts, a 10-year/200000 km warranty has been provided.
